A smudging that reaches far beyond your physical space,
a clearing, a cleansing,
a gentle returning to yourself—
all the way down to your DNA.
What began as a dream
to bring a little sweet smudge into the world
became a beautiful journey inward,
inviting me to deepen my relationship
with the art of paint,
the practice of patience,
and the ever-unfolding layers of myself.
This sage bundle, held by one of my teachers,
carries a meaning beyond what the eye can see.
A reminder that cleansing is not only of the spaces we inhabit,
but of the spaces we carry within us.
Adorned with hummingbirds,
tiny messengers of joy, sweetness, and wonder,
they remind us to slow down,
to seek the nectar hidden in the ordinary,
and to sip the sweet, sweet nectar of the universe.
Painted with real sage grown by my boyfriend,
this piece holds a little bit of the earth,
a little bit of love,
and a whole lot of intention.
